Fracturiser

Gamers beware, as a terrible virus that kills your computer surfaced in mods lately. Even secure modding platforms like Curse Forge have been infiltrated by this virus. Essentially, fracturiser is a virus that can be hidden in video game mods (mostly Minecraft) as a java script file. Because it's running in java, your computer's antivirus can't detect it. Usually it uses fake Windows files to mask it's location from antivirus software and users alike. Once infected, your computer will be almost completely unusable. For the most part, mods on trusted platforms and websites have been cleaned up and fracturiser is not as much of a risk now. However, keep in mind that downloading mods for your games from 3rd party platforms can still be dangerous, so keep an eye on your file sizes and weird looking files in your mods that don't belong there.
